About the Story and Its Journey
Inspired by a true story, a young woman waiting for her own judgment in the bureaucratic system of the afterlife finds herself in the role of judge and jury to determine the eternal fate of the man responsible for her death.

TRIAL had its premier workshop at The American Theatre of Actors, directed by Lori Petti and produced by the THML theatre company. It had been developed at Broadway's Manhattan Theatre Club and presented at the Tilles Center.

Actors who have been a part of the show include Finn Wittrock (American Horror Story), Tony winner Oona Laurence (Matilda), Tony nominees Geneva Carr (Hand to God) and Xanthe Elbrick (Coram Boy), Steve Hauck (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) and more.
In 2019 creator Ashley Griffin and director Lori Petty received the WellLife Network Award for their work on the show and its advocacy impact.

PRODUCER
Mixing It Up Productions LLC proudly presents a staged reading of Trial. It's a moving and insightful story about fear, resentment, and forgiveness in another world where the victim must face her killer in a way she never would have imagined.
TRIAL had extraordinary success when it played off-Broadway and lost some momentum due to the pandemic. There's been a lot of interest, but we need to get a reading up to showcase the piece to interested parties and get it back on track for a commercial run.

Lori Petty is attached as the director and is very passionate about the play. We look forward to you getting to know the show and creative team better as the piece continues development with your help and support.
